1. LOGI at the International Beirut Energy Forum (IBEF) 2019

LOGI’s executive director, Diana Kaissy moderated a session on the role of women in renewable energy during the IBEF. 

The Friedrich Ebert Stiftung in partnership with the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) held panel discussions on September 25th during the International Beirut Energy Forum. LOGI’s executive director presented in and moderated a panel discussion around the role of women in non-renewable energy. Interesting figures and research findings were shared by different panelists highlighting women’s role in Lebanon, Egypt, and Tunisia in non-renewable energy policies. 2. LOGI’s outreach to university students in the Chouf Aley district

LOGI, in partnership with the National Democractic Institute-NDI Lebanon, is executing several outreach sessions to students enrolled in universities in the Chouf Aley district. On September 18th, LOGI held an introductory session for the students of the rafic Hariri University in Mechref. An update regarding the latest developments in the oil and gas sector was shared. An emphasis was made on the critical role the youth need to play in affecting policy setting and reform not only in the nascent petroleum sector but also in other critical sectors. LOGI is organizing other outreach sessions addressed to students in other universities in the district.
