LOGI welcomes Dr. Pierre Saade to its Advisory Board

The Lebanese Oil and Gas Initiative (LOGI) announces the appointment of Dr. Pierre Saade as a new advisor on its board, effective immediately.

Pierre Saade joined the Publish What You Pay secretariat as Regional Coordinator for the MENA region in 2018. He coordinates PWYP’s activities, outreach and engagement with National Coalitions and members in Iraq, Lebanon, Tunisia, Yemen and the wider MENA region; ensuring that they are supported to achieve PWYP’s common goal of an open and accountable extractive sector. Prior to joining PWYP, Pierre was the Programme Manager at the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung in Beirut, where he was responsible for overseeing activities across six programmes with more than 15 civil society partners. His work covered issues related to youth participation, sustainable development, electoral reform, environment, oil and gas governance, and small arms control. Prior to that he worked as a field officer for the International Committee of the Red Cross. He also works part-time as an instructor in the faculty of Law and Political Science at Notre Dame University. Pierre holds BA and MA degrees in International Relations and Diplomacy from Notre Dame University in Lebanon. He also holds a PhD from the Lebanese University, Ecole Doctorale, in Beirut, where he analyzed Lebanon’s oil and gas sector, focusing on Lebanese political and administrative systems. He speaks English, Arabic and French.
