July 31, 2017, the Lebanese Oil and Gas Initiative (LOGI) announces today the appointment of Mr. Amer A. Mardam-Bey as a new member of its board, effective immediately.
Mr. Mardam-Bey has over 32 years of global international business experience, gained from previous corporate roles in finance, marketing, and program management. Amer served as Director of International Business Development for Reed International- Iraq, a Mission Critical Support Services Company, until 2016, where he focused on oil and gas infrastructure security for International and National Oil Companies, such PetroChina, LukOil, China National Offshore Oil Corporation, Missan Oil Company, Southern Oil Company and others.
Prior to that, Amer served in corporate leadership positions with AEGIS, ATCALL, Harris Corporation and Siraj Capital.
Amer worked globally in the US, the Middle East and Europe gaining extensive experience working in austere environments, especially in Iraq, where he developed expertise in conflict resolution and capacity building amongst tribal leaders and local companies.
An avid entrepreneur, Amer was involved in several startups in the US and the MENA region and is currently a mentor with MIT’s venture monitoring program in Lebanon.
Amer holds a BA in Business Administration, Management & Public Policy from New England College, New Hampshire, an MBA in International Finance & Marketing from The American University in Washington, D.C., and a Diploma of Expertise on the European Economic Community from The Center for Research and Documentation on the EEC at The American University in Washington, D.C.
Amer has two grown daughters, is an avid skier and a passionate student of regional history.

The LOGI team is honored to have Mr. Mardam-Bey join its board. LOGI will benefit from his insights and counsel as it helps build the sector. Amer will also be assuming the role of treasurer for LOGI.
